Biography:
Nims comes to Brine from Syracuse University, where he totaled over 175 points in his four-year career at the school, and was a 2009 first-team All-American. He was also the number one draft pick in the 2009 MLL draft by the Chicago Machine.

Nims helped lead Syracuse to back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2008 and 2009. Originally from Watertown, N.Y., Nims was a four-year varsity lacrosse letter winner and an All-American at Watertown High School.
College Career:

(2008): USILA Honorable Mention All-American as a Junior; One of nine players to start all 18 games; Second on the team with 58 points, 34 goals, 24 assists and eight man-up goals; Ranked 23rd nationally with 3.22 points per game; Scored at least two goals in 11 of 18 contests; Collected at least one point in 17 of 18 games, including a streak of 16 consecutive games; SU’s third-leading scorer in the NCAA Tournament with 10 points (6g, 4a); Had a career-high seven points and a personal-best five assists against Cornell; Scored six goals against Villanova in SU’s season opener; Registered six points (2g, 4a) against Rutgers, including his 50th career goal; Reached 100 career points with two goals against Johns Hopkins in the NCAA Championship game; Recorded hat tricks against Virginia in the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic and against Hobart; Finished with four points against the Cavaliers, and five versus the Statesmen; Scored five points (2g, 3a) in SU’s NCAA Tournament opener against Canisius; Scored two goals in a double-overtime win against Georgetown; Scored twice and collected three points against Binghamton; One goal and one assist versus Loyola; Tallied four points (2g, 2a) versus Princeton; Three points, including two goals, against Albany; Three points (1g, 2a) versus Massachusetts; Scored one goal and had an assist versus Colgate; Had a goal and an assist versus Notre Dame in the NCAA quarterfinals; Tallied a goal in SU’s double-overtime victory against Virginia in the NCAA semifinals.

Personal: Born Kenneth Elliot Nims March 2, 1987 in Watertown, N.Y. Son of Tom Nims, Julie Korwek and Alexander "Chip" Korwek; One sister; Father, Tom, played goalie at Syracuse from 1982-85, and ranks third on the school’s all-time saves list (692). Second cousin of SU teammate Greg Niewieroski and first cousin of former SU standout Brendan Loftus (2005-08). Dual major in marketing management and finance.
